• Understanding FMCSA’s English language proficiency rules
  • 49 CFR § 391.11(b)(2)
• Responding to inspectors’ questions about cargo, routes, and vehicle logs
• Recognizing and interpreting standard and electronic traffic signs
• Role-playing roadside inspections

You'll learn to develop the vocabulary and communication skills needed for vehicle checks, documentation, and emergency response. This module includes 12 hours of instruction.

• Pre-trip safety inspections and naming truck parts in English
• Reading and completing logbooks, bills of lading, and official forms

• Communicating with dispatchers, shippers, and law enforcement
